I just started watching "Rescue Me," Denis Leary's show on F/X and I love this scene in which his uncle tries to gas himself during the night, but the car ran only had an 1/8 of a tank of gas, so he's unsuccessful.

Denis' character opens the garage and finds him in the car and slaps him awake.
Teddy: "What are you doing here?"
Tommy (Leary): "Whadda mean?"
Teddy: "Where's Elvis?"
Tommy: "What?!"
Teddy: "Isn't this Heaven?"
Tommy: "No, it's my garage."

Thank God it wasn't BEETS! I hate beets, with a passion! I mean, they LOOK good, they SMELL a bit like a turnip---but for the life of me, I CAN'T get one to keep "going-down"! I'll "ralph" it back up before it even gets to the halfway point...!

I loooooves me some beets. Oddly, I like the canned ones better than fresh. Probably cuz there's no work involved in opening a can...LOL!

Whatever turns you on! But ME? Well, I've been a lot more careful, since the Thanksgiving that I mistook sliced BEETS for the CANNED CRANBERRY jell!

Yet ANOTHER reason for NOT drinking to excess BEFORE the feast....!
