so much for supporting the military, eh, Bush?

The U.S. military is promising action to address conditions in a barracks at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, after a soldier's father posted images on YouTube showing a building that he said "should be condemned."

"This is embarrassing. It's disgusting. It makes me mad as hell," Ed Frawley said of the building where his son, Sgt. Jeff Frawley, had to live upon his return this month from a 15-month deployment to Afghanistan.

Depends in what part of the Military you're talking about. Those yet not killed, or those he tried and failed to kill.

A lot of military housing units were built during WW 11 so they are getting pretty old now. When I stayed in them in the 60’s they were still in good shape and well maintained, I thought. And clean, we all where assigned cleaning duties at times. It appears that the military brass is slipping. There are homes here that are over a hundred years old but they get maintained and upgraded as needed, the housing shouldn’t have been allowed to go to hell.

I think I would buy a fifty dollar tent and pitch it out on the grounds. And get myself a porta pottie. And if they didn’t like it, well, screw them, they can discharge me. I’m wondering how it is in military prisons if the housing is that bad.

I go for over 8 weeks without a shower all the time, I stay clean the old way, bowl baths. I only get a shower when I get a hotel room or ask a friend in I can shower at their place, but I don’t like to ask friends of that so I seldom do. Not that it seems to bother them.
