| "tracking information is unavailable at this time" |
Did you ever notice when you make a purchase and it's shipped via UPS you can track that package right to it's arrival on your back porch?
Yet when you make a purchase and it's shipped USPS, the tracking information is NEVER available? If you do somehow luck out and the information has been uploaded, it's never updated so that you actually know where your package is. Makes you wonder why they even waste our time.
People are finally catching on.

Yes indeed, I notice every time I order ANYTHING, regardless of how cheap or expensive the item!
UPS is the best, FedEx a close second, DHL SUCKS, and USPS sucks even WORSE---if that's possible!
FedEx, and DHL, have this annoying little system, in co-operation with the POSTAL service, of drop-shipping "certain-selected" items to your local Post Office, where the USPS re-ships it as a Parcel Post!!! Talk about screwed-up, and not able to track!
Whenever possible, I use UPS for both incoming, and outgoing, shipments. They have "quirks" as well, but they DO have the best tracking system by far!

What is DHL anyway? I see their trucks around all the time, but I thought they were a part of the post office.
I HATE FedEx. They've never delivered a package here that there hasn't been a problem. Mostly "we can't find your house," or "I was going to leave the package in your mailbox, but you didn't answer the phone." Yeah, they can leave it in the damn mailbox but not at my back door. Sigh.

I think DHL bought out Purolator (maybe) to get established in the delivery trade. Out of Germany, if memory serves me.
Our 90 some-odd year old mail lady is the only one who ever comes out this far and that's only a few times a week.

I took a package delivery from them just an hour ago - yippee! A pressie from a fellow blogger (Probably more of a bribe for me to stay away, truth be told). As if they'll get rid of me that easily..Wink.

I sent a package USPS overseas and the shipping cost twice as much as the contents. The price was worth it. At least I know it got there.

Thanks, Lin. All of a sudden I started seeing DHL boxes around town, and for some ridiculous reason, I thought they had something to do with TOOLS...LOL!

I've learned a lesson to not purchase explosive devices from the dollar store. They don't work. (wink)
